Counsellor in Wonersh and Guildford, psychotherapist. depression, anxiety, talking therapy. Stormy.

Just some of the presenting issues that talking therapy can help you with are depression, anxiety, trauma, becoming a new parent for the first time or relationship issues. Sometimes we are not able to identify why we are feeling the way we are or indeed understand what we are feeling, so simply talking to a therapist can help us gain better insight into what is going on for us.

Please get in touch for a friendly chat if you are looking for a counsellor in Wonersh, Shamley Green, Bramley or Guildford, and we can discuss your needs.

We all have periods where we feel low, but if you are feeling this way for a prolonged period then you may have depression. There are a number of treatments for depression, psychotherapy being one. Through psychotherapy we can explore the underlying reasons for your depression as well as identify coping strategies that will help you manage how you feel.

What I Offer

I specialise in psychodynamic therapy which is the exploration of the unconscious as well as the conscious. When problems arise, they are often the symptoms of deeply rooted traumas, past experiences or learned behavior from childhood. Psychodynamic therapy can help you discover and understand the root causes of your feelings and how they are affecting your life in the present. Therapy can help you to explore and gain the necessary insight into how we are conditioned and therefore how we relate to others and to different situations in our current life stage. This can help us to make necessary changes to how we process information and therefore respond, both physically and through our own thought process.

If you are looking for someone to talk to, please get in touch to hear how therapy can help you. I also work within a person-centred model, but we can explore what feels right for you when we have an initial chat.
